For MOMS-TO-BE (with underlying Kidney Jing and Blood deficiency)

To have healthy baby, both parents’ Kidney Jing should be strong at the time of conception. The Kidney as the reservoir of Jing directs the harmonious course of the biological vital processes in all stages of life. Jing is inherited from parents’ and plays big role to the ability to have children. Nutrition from food gathered by Spleen, supplements the Jing of Kidney, protects it from rapid consumption and replenishes it on a daily basis. Good Jing means strong immune system, ability to conceive and have pregnancy without complications in women and good quality sperm in men, and long lasting life without illnesses.

To supplement Jing by means of healthy eating, we need foods that are able to support the growth and development of body and soul. At the same time, we need foods that direct their energy straight to the Kidneys to support it in its function of storing Jing. Building Kidney Jing&Blood requires time and continuity in the implementation of dietary recommendations (at least 3 months).

Foods to strengthen Kidney Jing:

-          Chicken or duck eggs are Jing on their own, extremely concentrated in their protein content.

-          Caviar and Oysters is excellent Jing tonic. Oysters are considered an aphrodisiac and influence the cells that produce sperm.

-          Seeds and nuts, such as sesame and almonds, contain not only the fertilized germ cell, but also the nutrients for a new potential plant.

-          Royal jelly, the food of the queen bee, is produced from the pollen and secretions of the worker bees. It is Jing strengthening food for astonishingly rapid growth, fertility and long life. Pollen is also considered as Jing supporting food, although its effect is not as strong as Royal jelly.

-          Oats, ghee (clarified butter), artichoke leaves, and nettles also have a specific effect on Jing.

-          Good Jing – strengthening soups are cooked fresh from marrow bones, eaten for a several days, and after a break for a few more days.

-          Small amount of meat, fish and internal organs like liver and kidney have their nutrients and energetic potential transformed into blood and tissues.

-          Seaweed and microalgae like spirulina and chlorella are additional important plant-based products nourishing Jing and blood.

To strengthen Blood the following foods are recommended:

Highly nutritious proteins (legumes, meat, dairy products)

Plenty of dark green plants high in chlorophyll (green vegetables, fresh herbs, salads)

Nuts and seeds

Steamed vegetables with a cool nature

Stewed fruits

High-energy foods that strengthen Spleen I because it serves as the foundation of blood

Smaller meats throughout the day, light, yin – nourishing meals in the evenings (pureed vegetable soup, semolina porridge with stewed fruits)
